2017 high school graduates encouraged to apply for Rhode Island Promise Scholarship

Rhode Island Promise is a new scholarship program that allows 2017 Rhode Island high school graduates to pursue a two-year associate degree at the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) tuition free.

Students have until August 25, 2017 to apply for the scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year.  Information and resources can be found on the CCRI website.

Some frequently asked questions include:

  2. You must be a 2017 high school graduate (public, private or homeschooled) or a 2017 GED recipient who was younger than 19 years of age when you completed high school or the GED.
  • What steps do students need to take to apply for Rhode Island Promise?
  1. Apply to CCRI and register for a full-time fall course load.
