Thanks for visiting our classroom website!!  I am excited to work with you and your child this year and to be your child's second grade teacher.  I am looking forward to a successful year of learning, discovery, and of course plenty of FUN!!  My primary goal for this year is to help each child foster a desire to be a lif-long learner who thoroughly enjoys the learning process.  Fostering this lifelong love of learning is our primary goal in 2BN!!  Children who enjoy coming to school each and every day is the one standard that we want to achieve! In an effort to do this, I will continuously encourage each child to do their best on all tasks as well as recognize and ackowledge their effort to promote a positive self-concept.  My expectations for conduct and standards for academic growth are high!!  However, your child will always be viewded as a unique individual who exhibits his/her own pattern and timing of growth.  The curriculum and instruction will be responsive to each child's individual needs, as I am fully aware that not all children learn in the same way or at the same rate.  Please know that I want only the best for your child and I look forward to establishing a partnership with you as I truly believe that a good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort between parent, child, and teacher.  With your participation in and out of the classroom, we can all look forward to a productive, creative, and FUN year!!
