Students will have music once every 6 days, for a 40 minute period.

Music activities include

singing, dancing, playing xylophones and rhythm instruments, 

playing the Yamaha Keyboards, listening to  and evaluating music,

composing songs, making instruments, and learning notation.

   4th Grade Learning Academy Chorus

 Mrs. Johnson's 4th Grade Chorus Musical is May 25, 2010 at 6:30 pm in the Gaudet Cafetorium. 

4 Reilly-Chaves, 4 Cousens, 4 Ward, and 4 Barruetabena

 Grade 4 Handbell Ensemble

is comprised of 12 students each half year. They play the Tone Chimes, and perform at each concert. 

 4th Grade Philharmonic Trip to Providence, RI

Rhode Island Philharmonic Trip to the Veterans Memorial Auditorium is May 11, 2010.  

thanks to a generous grant from the Gaudet PTG, and another grant from The BIG YELLOW SCHOOL BUS (RI Council on the ARTS)

Students will pay for their $3.25 for the trip. THANK YOU GAUDET PTG!!

Nice dress, bring bag lunch, and no glass bottles for beverage. Depart Gaudet at 10am-

return at 1:30 PM. 

More information on this will be forthcoming.

 March is MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS MONTH

All school MUSIC ASSEMBLY     March 11, 10:00 AM

Each grade will sing a song, recorders will play, the newly formed grade 3 handbells will play, and special surprise performance

by Ms. Sykes on flute, Mr. Roy on Bass, and Mrs. Johnson on piano!

 CELEBRATE RECORDER RECITAL 

March 18, Forest Ave. Cafeteria    6:30 PM

White tops, dark bottoms.The Forest AVe. PTG has generously donated the refreshments for this exciting evening.

Don't forget to bring recorders.
