In partnership with students, parents, and community the mission of Forest Avenue School is to create a safe, and supportive environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, caring, and a love of learning, enabling all students to succeed in the 21st century.

Forest Avenue School is a Kindergarten to Grade 3 elementary school located in Middletown, Rhode Island. Forest Avenue School has been classified as a high performing school by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Our school has a warm and friendly atmosphere as well as an outstanding staff that continually challenges and supports the students in every way possible. The academic environment revolves around common core state standards, Readers and Writers workshop teaching models, differentiated instruction and our students enjoy co-curricular classes in Art, Music, Physical Education and Library that meet once every six days. Students also have the use of a state-of-the art computer lab which they use to integrate technology with their curriculum.

 We have a fabulous PTG that sponsors all kinds of wonderful programs, field trips, and socials for our students and families to enjoy. There are also many opportunities for parents to become involved with their child's educational experiences. Volunteers are always welcome!!
