Yesterday Ms. Cerra's class had a special guest visitor. Xavier Mauprivez from the French Confection Bakery. He spoke about his childhood growing up above a bakery in France, before becoming a marine mechanic. He then decided to become a baker, running several bakeries in the DC area, before moving to Middletown and opening the French Confection. #WeAreMiddletown #IslanderPRIDE

Today Newport Yacht Builders visited to Ms. Cerra's class. They spoke about the work that goes into building boats, how many different jobs are involved (naval engineer, carpenter, interior designer, etc) their training, and what a day looks like. #WeAreMiddletown #IslanderPRIDE
